Architectural works, just like paintings or sculptures, contain in themselves a certain historical value, pointing to the genius of their creator, or the intention of the client. In this sense they also imply the existence of an audience, by which the work will be accepted or rejected, appreciated or marginalized, preserved for posterity, or left to oblivion, conversion or demolition in the theatre of social reception.

Developed as attempts to complete the existing historical narratives of found fragments or derelict sets of buildings, the designs of Jesús Castillo Oli over the past decade show a great sensibility towards such traces.
